The list of celebrities who’ve decided to invest their money in vegan companies keeps getting longer!

The first stop in our journey is Mexico, one of the countries with the highest percentage of vegetarians and vegans in the world! Here are a few interesting things we learned about veganism in Mexico:

Oat milk manufacturer Oatly reported recently that it is predicting a 64% surge in its annual revenue! According to the newly public Swedish company, it had to increase production capacity by 50% in order to catch up with demand, as sales of its dairy-alternative products rose in the second quarter, recovering from last year's pandemic-driven fall.

We thought that international dog day might be the perfect opportunity to remind everyone that millions of adoptable dogs are euthanized every year in shelters around the world, and that if more people adopted from shelters instead of buying, these numbers could be drastically reduced.

No matter how you look at it, Gordon Ramsay has come a very long way when it comes to veganism. The British celebrity chef who once declared being “allergic to vegans” has been warming up to the idea that perhaps veganism is not that bad after all.

In the US alone, Shipments of plant-based proteins grew 60% in April of this year from the same month last year and with increasing customer demand, more and more fast food chains are adding delicious plant-based options to their menus.

It may still sound super futuristic, but it seems that the future is almost here: lab-grown dairy is a fast growing industry, with startups from all over the world rapidly joining the race to create and mass-distribute the first imitation cow’s milk, and some of them, as they report, are very close.
